Rain has the final say against Strikers

The West Coast Rollers’ 2020 got off to a wet start, with only four overs managed against Coastal Strikers on Sunday.

Playing at the Rondebosch Oval, the Rollers won the toss and decided to take first strike given the slightly wet outfield.

Cornell Keulder and James Lamprecht opened the batting and put on 17 for the first wicket before the former was yorked by Louis for 8.

Ryan Cooper was in at three and tried to pull the second ball he faced, only to be caught at midwicket for a duck.

Michael van Dewenter looked in good form during his short stay at the crease, but ultimately the weather had the last laugh, with the innings abandoned at 31/2 after four overs.
